In a Canvas course, it is possible for a student to submit a video for an ASSIGNMENT (after the instructor has enabled this feature). As a student, the procedures for submitting a video in an assignment depend on what you need to do:
UPLOAD A VIDEO THROUGH "MY MEDIA"
I need to UPLOAD a pre-existing video I've already created and submit it for my assignment. This uses your collection of personal videos in your "MY MEDIA" repository.
SIMPLE WEBCAM RECORDING
I need to do a simple WEBCAM RECORDING on-the-fly and submit it for my assignment.
MORE RECORDING OPTIONS
I need to do a SCREEN RECORDING, VOICE RECORDING, OR COMBINATION SCREEN RECORDING+WEBCAM RECORDING and submit it for my assignment.
Read the start-up instructions below. There are links to other articles that deal with specific procedures.
REPLY TO A DISCUSSION TOPIC
As part of a module in a Canvas course, the instructor may have enabled a Discussion board. In that Discussion, click the REPLY button that appears either below the discussion topic or below another student’s response.
UPLOAD OR RECORD
The standard Canvas content editing tool bar appears. Click on the "filmstrip" icon.
- A window will open labeled with "Embed Kaltura Media."
